Since the May groundbreaking of the eagerly anticipated Rydal Waters cottage expansion, exciting progress continues every day. Phase I of this remarkable 33-acre neighborhood is slated to open in 2020, hard hat tours are being given, and new Charter Members are making their choices from an exceptional spectrum of options and amenities. After the two decades of careful planning and thought that have gone into this elegant, maintenance-free neighborhood, it’s exciting to see it come to life. Rydal Waters - Construction Update #10


We're excited to report another full week of activity! The Clubhouse concrete slab was prepared, the foundation walls for Cottage 24 were set, foundation excavation for Cottage 32 was completed and the team completed the wall insulation for Cottages 14, 15, and 16. The community water meter vault was also installed. We continue to move forward, while keeping weather in mind, as we plan to move forward with a variety of items this week including the water proofing for the Clubhouse foundation walls, initial grading for the Clubhouse parking lot, concrete slab preparation and pour for Cottages 21 and 22. Rydal Waters - Construction Update #9


Last week progress was limited to four days due to weather, but lots of work was still completed! The basement concrete slab for Cottage 23 was poured and the foundation walls for Cottages 21 and 22 were set. The teams began installing under slab plumbing utilities for the Clubhouse and the main transformed vault was set between Cottage 28 and the Clubhouse. This week we look forward to pouring the curb for the first sequences. Work on the cottages will include installation of the shingles on Cottage 19, sprinkler rough-ins for Cottages 14 and 15, as well as installing the electrical under-slab utilities for the Clubhouse. Rydal Waters - Construction Update #8


Another five days full of progress! Last week’s work included setting foundation walls for Cottages 29 and 30, pouring the concrete slab for Cottage 31, and trusses and framing on Cottage 20. HVAC rough-ins for Sequence 1 continued as well. With some cold days ahead this week, we hope to maintain pace, framing Cottage 31, prepping for the curb work on Noble Circle, and setting foundation walls for Cottages 21 and 22. Rydal Waters - Construction Update #7


Some rain last week did not deter project progress as we were able to continue installation of the retaining walls by the water basin and Switchback Road, which will connect our Rydal Park campus to Rydal Waters.  Foundations were set for Cottages 20 and 23, while framing began on Cottages 17 and 18.  Additionally we began the electrical and gas installations along Rydal Way.  This coming week you will see excavation work on the Clubhouse foundation and foundation walls for Cottage 31.  The concrete slab for Cottage 20 will be poured and interior electrical rough-ins will begin on Cottage 16.  Want to learn more or check out the progress in person? Rydal Waters - Construction Update #6


The sitework and building preparation at the Rydal Waters site continues! Foundations for Cottage 20 were dug, the Clubhouse foundations were laid out and pinned, and the stormwater structures and drainage pipes are being installed by the switch-back road. The switch-back road will connect directly to our Rydal Park campus so that all amenities between Rydal Park and Rydal Waters can be accessed by our residents. Additionally, grading for sequence 4 commenced. Excavation is underway for the clubhouse, interior rough-ins for Cottage 16 has begun and patios for Cottages 14, 15 and 19 will be final by next week. Rydal Waters - Construction Update #5


Another great week of progress at the Rydal Waters site. The Warfel construction team continued installing the under-slab rough-ins for Cottages 17- 19 and poured the concrete slabs for Cottage 15 and 16. Additionally, framing and sheathing continued on Cottage 14.  Major utility work started with installation of storm water piping structures.Looking forward to this week when Warfel will begin to felt and paper the roof on Cottage 14 and begin electrical rough-ins. Concrete slabs will be poured for Cottages 17 and 18, and Warfel will continue grading the Clubhouse parking lot. Rydal Waters - Construction Update #4


Last week prep work including excavation and stone fill for Cottage 19 was completed. Cottage 14 was prepared for the concrete floor slab pour and the foundation walls for Cottages 16, 17 and 18 were set – exciting to see this progression! Rounding out the week was some top soil relocation throughout the site. This week we are looking forward to seeing more foundation walls and concrete slabs and the first framing of Cottage 14 will start. Each week will bring more and more reality to this project! Rydal Waters - Construction Update #3


It’s exciting to see cottages take shape. Foundation walls for Cottages 14 and 15 are up and it is now easy to visualize their size. Project progress continues as excavation was completed and superior walls set for cottage 16. Underground plumbing is also now complete for Cottage 14. Grading for the sequence 1 foundation pads (Cottages 14-19) was completed and work will continue for sequence 2 (Cottages 20-26) throughout the coming weeks. Rydal Waters - Construction Update #2


Greetings! Last week we saw more site work, including the completion of Sequence 1 (Cottages 14-19) building pad grading and the installation of additional erosion and sediment controls at the Switchback Road to Rydal Park. Cottage 15 was prepped with foundation excavation and water service installation.  This week you will see the superior foundation walls being set for Cottages 14 and 15.  This will be the first actual construction coming out of the ground!  Once these are set, the crew will begin back-filling the foundation walls early next week. Rydal Waters - Construction Update #1


There has been a lot of activity at the Rydal Waters site! The Warfel construction team has marked the framing and building layout dimensions for Cottages 14 through 19. Sequence 1 pad grading is complete.Commencing this week will be the excavation of Cottage 14, in preparation for the precast concrete Superior Wall foundations, while grading for several more cottages will be ongoing.
